Intel shares edged lower Tuesday afternoon following news of Michelle Johnston Holthaus' departure after three decades at the chipmaker. The former products chief and interim co-CEO will transition to a strategic adviser role during Lip-Bu Tan's management restructuring.

Tan's reorganization includes appointing Kevork Kechichian as EVP of the data center group and expanding Naga Chandrasekaran's role overseeing Foundry Services. A new custom silicon division has been established as part of the leadership overhaul.
